PEPSI FACTS

The above recipe (which is pretty close to the original Coca-Cola recipe) is obviously from documents filed with the court at the time that the Pepsi-Cola Company went bankrupt in 1923. The first time I saw this recipe in print was in a book written by Bob Stoddard. The book is Pepsi-Colla 100 Years and is a very well done book. If you have enjoyed the history of Pepsi-Cola that I have written, and you want to know more, then I highly recommend this book. Most of the history material I have written was based on a book called Twelve Full Ounces by Milward W. Martin and was published in 1962. However, after writing my history of Pepsi I purchased Mr. Stoddard's book. It is my belief that Mr. Stoddard's book is probably the more accurate of the two books, and I just wished I had purchased his book before I had written my history of Pepsi. Mr. Stoddard is the President of the Pepsi-Cola Collectors Club and is also a memorabilia expert to Pepsi. He provides a much more detailed look at the history of Pepsi than I have provided (and I'm sure a more accurate history as well). Lastly, his book has lots of little annedotes that I have not provided, and a ton of great Pepsi-Cola pictures.
